Pay the $20 background check fee

All volunteers are REQUIRED to attend one training session prior to volunteering in classes.

Volunteer Guidelines
Minimum Age: The minimum age required to volunteer at Starbrite Therapeutic Equestrian Center without a parent/guardian present is 14 years old. Minor children wishing to volunteer with a parent/guardian present will be evaluated and approved on a case-by-case basis. Horsehandler positions are only available to those 18 years of age and older. Sidewalker positions are available to those 16 years of age or older. All volunteer positions are assigned at the discretion of the Volunteer Coordinator.​
Background check: A background check is required for all adult volunteer applicants (anyone 16 or older). The background check fee is waived for Veterans or active service members.
Dress code: Please review the dress code in the Volunteer Handbook. Closed-toe shoes and long pants are required. We ask that you dress modestly in close fitting clothing that is weather appropriate.
